Summary

During a meeting with House Republicans, President-elect Donald Trump publicly mocked Elon Musk, saying, “Elon won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him,” as Musk has spent extensive time with Trump recently.

The comments were seen as an assertion of Trump’s dominance, with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell noting the uncomfortable laughter from the room.

Musk has been tapped to co-lead the new “Department of Government Efficiency” (nicknamed “DOGE”), a role critics describe as superficial.

Observers predict Trump and Musk’s alliance may sour due to their clashing egos.

Who could have foresaw that two narcissists in an alliance of convenience would soon tire of each other.?

    Weird.

      100%.

I agree with the assertion though. These are the two biggest egos in America, and there’s no way they get along for long.

Yeah can we not do this again? We don’t need a news article any time Trump blinks. Like, there’s plenty of bad and crazy shit he’s doing as-is, no need to mountain all the molehills.

This is part of the reason the “90% of stuff you hear about Trump is bullshit” narrative currently being pushed by right-wing social media is working so well.

Elon is that one guy who invited himself to the party and won’t leave even when all the other guests have left.

These people seemingly love to play cuck for one another, though. I mean, donvict likely did his DJ sesh thanks to hating Noem. He and “little” Marco have bagged on each other how much?

    This was donvict saying this:

When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless, and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it.

So, donvict is implying that Elon would have blown donvict. We all know that is what he is saying here.

And Elon’s back for more of that, I guess? I guess he is just not rich enough already? Seriously, Elon could fuck off with his billions right now and never have to get involved in politics at all, and never have to “work” ever again (I doubt what he does would constitute what most would consider “work”, but…) but I guess he’s just as much of a narcissist as the rest of these assholes.

Oh that isn’t even a flyspeck on the window compared to the shit he does to his ‘allies’ when he needs a fallguy or simply gets tired of them. And something tells me Elon won’t be so accepting of his role as orange man’s personal doormat so this will be interesting to watch in a morbid way if nothing else.

Look, they don’t give a damn about actually following their own philosophies so let’s drop the tired gotchas. They don’t give a flying fuck about the gotchas.

We are really letting the right wing dictate the nature of reality with bullshit takes like this.

That you need one single leader to solve it all is a conservative position. That you need many people working together is a leftist position.

When you try to hit them with this gotcha you’re actually affirming their beliefs in singular strongmen and are normalizing it for the left.

Cooperation shouldn’t be vilified. Cooperation isn’t a joke.

Keep up the gotchas, just pair them with emphasis on how weak and ineffectual they are. Both are required. One is insufficient.

The real jokes to them are the American people, particularly the average, lower-middle class, the lower class and especially the poor.

We are just simply watching them clown around actively at everything at the expense and mercy. Pretending that they’re upstanding. Pretending they care. Pretending they’re even there for those who vote for them. But all of this kind of shit is, is just playground bullshitting between an old fart in power and an undeserved rich man.

Everything is apparently a fucking meme now.

It’s nice to know cracks are beginning to appear in his administration not even 10 days post-election. The more people opposing Trump the better for almost everyone. Even if it’s bastards opposing bastards.

They won’t oppose each other. They may not like each other at some point, but their goals are completely aligned, which is the fascist takeover of america by Corporate interests.

McConnell already blocked Trump’s ally from becoming the senate majority leader. The new leader is someone who criticized Trump for Jan 6, among other things.

Oh they will. They’re both raging narcissists. Neither Trump or Elon gives two shits about corporate interests or anything else but their own comfort and ego, and they cant share a spotlight for long. I cannot wait for Trump to try to revoke Elons citizenship and have him deported.

Right, but Trump isn’t president yet. If he can throw enough people under the bus before January 20th… lol

He’s starting the dictator playbook too early. Biden is literally offering to hand him power, all he hast to do is wait and not do anything stupid.
