Summary

Following Donald Trump’s election victory, Republicans are now openly embracing Project 2025, a policy agenda from The Heritage Foundation that outlines sweeping conservative reforms.

Despite Trump’s attempts to distance himself from the project during his campaign due to its extreme proposals—including expanded executive powers, a national abortion ban, stricter contraception limits, harsh immigration policies, and the elimination of agencies like the Department of Education—his allies quickly began celebrating its implementation.

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon and commentator Matt Walsh publicly affirmed the agenda, signaling the GOP’s commitment to enacting these controversial policies in Trump’s second term.

They’ll blame Barack Harris for the crumbling of the US while the republicans dismantle it actively in front of them, while they point at the democrats for letting it happen.

They’re already doing it. More than half the United States’ voters this year just elected a man who lied about fumbling the pandemic, who lied about having the most secure border and the best economy, who lied about the insurrection he very clearly instigated, and has lied about his policies and political stances form day one (health care, abortion rights, you name it) and people are accepting, if not believing, what he’s saying. This is doublespeak right in front of our eyes. They’re lying right now, and they’ll lie later when they start attacking our basic human rights and start rounding up our friends and their political opponents. And we’ll accept it, if not believe it.

Either they run into the filibuster in the senate and it stops most of this, or we finally do away with the filibuster and when the democrats come in to clean up after 2/4 years of disaster, we don’t have the filibuster stopping all the good ideas the democrats are suppose to support.

It’s not going to change (and in any case worked in your favor toward) the election outcome, which is what you are actually upset about.

In deep red Indiana, more people voted for RFK, Jr. than Chase Oliver.

So few people, even in a deep red state, want what libertarians are selling that more people voted for a guy who dropped out of the race.

So if you mean that you made the right choice to never, ever get what you want, you most certainly did.

I’m not sure he could have tried any harder to tell them exactly what his plan was and who he is.

The fact that he openly speaks against overtime pay is celebrated. Fuck, even his divorces are celebrated. He could literally shoot someone in the face at a rally, and it would just boost his support.

They’ll find some way to blame Dems for anything that becomes too unpopular, and their base will willingly buy into it to avoid responsibility - until something bites them personally. It’ll take far too long for it to affect enough of them personally to save the rest of us with some semblance of rationality, though.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnEH9MAgSGA

There are trends - this video explains it well. Trump will reshape America, he will cement power and make sure it’s much easier for MAGA to succeed in future (making it easy, rigging the system, for them to be re-elected).

You are entering a new authoritarian regime in the USA.

Many folks voted Trump because they don’t trust politicians, they don’t trust Democracy, and now they get what they want - Democracy takes the biggest hit in history - and it’s not because of Trump, it’s a worldwide trend - there have been no new Democracies for a good many years already.

Project 2025 (which Trump laughably kept saying ‘I never heard of it, I never read it’ - he’s laughing his tits off, he loves the lower class working Americans, he loves Americans with low education… because they just signed him into power thinking he gives a toss about them - he doesn’t.

He hates them, he hates women, he’s racist, misogynistic, a criminal and a liar.

Project 2025 is a right wing manifesto - opposing abortion and reproductive rights, even outlawing FDA approved safe drugs used in medical abortion… reviving 19th century extreme right wing laws.

Also opposing LGBTQ rights, opposing immigrants’ rights, a racial manual for reorganising the entire federal government to serve a right wing agenda.

You will see now mass raids, deportations, an end to birthright citizenship, breaking up families and dismantling asylum.

Trump will also work to bring in power of warrantless surveillance - to be exploited to spy on Americans and their data… radically expanding executive power and making a mockery of American’s idea of having freedom.

Trump will also use executive authority to limit First Amendment freedoms, he will have power to mute the press, also damaging fair replresentation in the voting process (he said - you won’t have to vote again, with a wry grin on his face).

Watching Trump you can see he’s TELLING YOU what he plans to do, laughing at you for being stupid, because he knows you don’t take it seriously.

Basically, it’s the fascist’s playbook - and you voted this POS into power.
