His “promises made, promises kept” line makes me think he goes full dictator, Marshall law, insurrection act, terminate the constitution, send the death squads, eliminate/arrest the dems, fire up the death penalty machine for criminals (not including his criminals), declare the storm, and call for the purge.

Then, that demonic portal that his buddies said had opened up above the white house actually opens up.

Then elon, trump, and rogan, hop on their horses to set the world on fire.

    Fuck this life.

This world - the people - deserve to be destroyed.

    Humanity is a fucking disaster.

I understand you are scared right now, and there’s probably no talking you off that ledge. Seek the goods things in your life right now. Surround yourself with the ones you love. It’s hard to process, but breathe. I promise you’ll be ok.

        Edit:

Just wanted to add this moment of realization from a CBS news personality.

He was talking about how people shouldn’t be afraid, that America is the oldest democracy on earth, that democracy wil survive, and things will be OK…

… And he continued on talking about how trump likely has full control of the government, the house, the senate, the courts, and an immunity ruling.

After the last words came out of his mouth he looked at the camera and paused and said, (paraphrasing) ** " I’d like to maybe take back the first part of what I said, we should be afraid" **

I promise you he will order shootings on 5th avenue.

If you think I, we, us, anyone will be OK, like the half of the nation that elected him, you haven’t been listening.

People voted for an economy and against scary immigrants.

They also get the storm, the purge, the accelerationists, the camps, the executions, the prisons, smothered hope for the last possibility of saving this earth from environmental collapse.

        They literally want Armageddon.

        I mean actually fucking literally.

Once you learn how many in the Republican party, and supreme court, are members of NAR and 7MM - literally groups with the purpose of bringing Jesus back.

Nobody is going to be OK .

            I’ve grown to despise religion.

            I was raised roman Catholic.

I have had nightmares of mushroom clouds since I was a child.

            Revelation 8:7

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

This is what the people of NAR/end days cults want.

Trumps spiritual adviser in the white house was NAR.

She was quoted as saying trump will be instrument in ushering in Armageddon.

Actual words from an actual person in an actual group who are actually, actively, trying to end the world.

And, if you want go ruin your day even more, read about Putin/dugin and their concept of the noosphere.

Dugin is Putin’s spiritual/occult/geopolitical strategist (author of foundations of geopolitics)

            Edit:

            Here’s dugin"s substack (lol)

            https://alexanderdugin.substack.com/p/in-the-united-states-three-completely

One of the ideologues of Trumpism, Curtis Yarvin, has declared that it’s time to establish a monarchy in the United States. If Republicans gain a majority in both houses, what could stop them?

Here’s this lovely statement about ending the world:

The end times and the eschatological meaning of politics will not realise themselves on their own. We will wait for the end in vain. The end will never come if we wait for it, and it will never come if we do not. This is essential because history, time, and reality have special strategies to avoid Judgment Day, or rather, they have a special strategy of a reversionary manoeuvre that will create the impression that everyone has come to a realisation and an understanding. This is the huge arsenal of Heidegger’s noch nicht, or eternal ‘not yet…’ If the Fourth Political Practice is not able to realise the end of times, then it would be invalid. The end of days should come; but it will not come by itself. This is a task, it is not a certainty. It is active metaphysics. It is a practice.

I understand where you are coming from. This totally fucking blows and I’m terrified for my children. The only constant in human life is that there is suffering. There is always suffering in life. Right now, there is nothing you can do about this situation. Understand that there is always and has always been suffering in life. That’s not new. Speculation on the future only causes more suffering. The present moment is all you have. The want for what you deem as a better political situation (and you are probably right) is causing you suffering. Choose to not suffer.

Breathe deeply for 5 minutes straight and relish in what is good in your life. Let the loved ones around know how important they are to you. Do something that you truly enjoy. Take care of yourself. No one else is going to do that for you. You are not the first human being to feel what you are feeling and you will not be the last. Whether or not you are “ok” is up to you.

The only way out is within.

Ok, I won’t be patronizing. I’ll be fucking real.

You are going to die someday. None of this fucking shit matters. There has been shitty leaders and political hardships since we invented farming. You are not special. You are a speck of meat on a speck of dust in swirling mess of who knows what the fuck. You do not matter to me or most of the other 8 billion people on this planet. The moon, the sun, and the stars will still be in the sky tomorrow, whether you are here or not. Your opinions do not matter to any other human being on this planet. You are inconsequential and in a relatively short amount of years there will be no evidence to your measly existence at all. You want to be a pissy pants about politics online? Go ahead and do that if it makes you happy. But, it doesn’t. It makes you afraid and angry and you’re here sitting in your anger stew. If I want to tell someone online something positive through a character is space fantasy, I’m going to do it. To live is to suffer and the only thing that matters in life is making others feel good. That’s it. Nothing else truly fucking matters. Nothing. Quit acting like a baby, get some exercise, eat the right shit, and be useful. Now get out there and make some fucking changes in the world.

Don’t take this as me being rude. Take this as me freeing you from your mental tethers of exceptionalism.

For reference: count the number of alive people living in China or Russia who are both wealthy/in a position of power, and critical of xi or Putin.

      1. Pardon himself for all federal crimes
      2. Appoint Aileen Cannon as AG.
      3. Order Cannon to fire Jack Smith.
      4. Pardon Steve Bannon
      5. Make up some new federal power to somehow interfere in state cases to have those charges dismissed. And keep in mind he has a united Congress and Supreme Court that will just make it legal by some twisted interpretation of the Supremacy clause or something.
      6. Have the rulings on the E. Jean Carroll case reversed and get his money back.
      7. Make Truth Social the official method of communcation for Presidential matters, causing his stocks to skyrocket and for him to rake in billions.
      8. Leave any Cabinet positions related to education unfilled and begin the shutdown of the Department of Education
      9. Appoint RFK to oversee healthcare, eliminating Obamacare and banning about every medical breakthrough we’ve made in the modern age, causing the return of serious diseases such as measles.
      10. Advocate for a national abortion ban.
      11. Begin the implementation of Project 2025.

How cute…you think that norms still apply.

Trump will self-pardon, say he did nothing wrong, and pardon the J6 rioters unconditionally. And the same Congress who spent the day in a basement fearing for their own lives will stand up and applaud, and the Supreme Court will rubber stamp it with one hand while fellating him with the other.

This is the Trump revenge tour 2.0. Trump does what he wants, and everybody just bends the law around it. Traditional norms are simply ignored. If you think it was bad last time, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

The good news is we’ll get a Supreme Court decision on the president pardoning himself. The bad news is we have a president who believes laws don’t apply to him and it will be decided by a court of judges whom he mainly picked, and I’m sure will not see the need to recuse themselves due to any conflict of interest

Disagree. Pardoning the J6 rioters now “proves” that he “has their back.” That way, if/when he needs another group of rioters to be at his beck and call, they’ll gladly oblige. Especially if he pre-pardons them.

Trump had two weeks to pre-pardon them in 2021 and didn’t. 71 million people just voted for Trump this time around. If 0.01% of them are crazy rioters, that’s 7100 people at his disposable. He doesn’t need an additional few hundred who already went to jail and had their life turned upside down, and may not still be loyal.

But pardoning them is a gesture that ensures that the 7100 people at his disposal knows that he has their back, while costing Trump exactly nothing. Trump won’t do it out of any care for the J6ers, but because he’ll still benefit from it.

Yeah, he doesn’t like them, but he recognizes their value and loyalty. He’ll take steps to encourage that loyalty. It’s always useful for an authoritarian leader to have an unofficial paramilitary force they can call on to do… things.

Some supreme court justices are going to take the opportunity retire though, so it will be a Republican SCOTUS for the next two decades.

I’m just waiting for the almost immediate removal of the filibuster now that it would be Democrats using it. They’re going to have the trifecta of control and they’re going to go full scorched earth on Democrats.
