Maybe someone can come up with some sort of brand to help identify and track specific people and their reasons for choosing to be concentrated
Maybe someone can come up with some sort of brand to help identify and track specific people and their reasons for choosing to be concentrated
There are plenty of reasons to think this true, and plenty of reasons the world is getting better over time. Maybe not the next four years, and maybe not for everyone, but there are so many stays at global and national levels that have trended up for decades and continue to do so.
And before someone single-minded chimes in about Gaza. War and atrocity has always been an ugly part of our history and also has trended downward over the last several decades. Just the fact that we can get so worked up about ending atrocities somewhere else in the world that doesn’t affect us, is a great sign for the future
For all those values, even in yourself. There’s no better motivator to make an effort for the future, than having a kid you want the best for. If you don’t have a kid, you’re not passing your environmental values, or you educational values, or all the other values you may have for what makes a better society. Nor do you have any reason to hold to them yourself.
I don’t mean to try to push anyone toward having kids, but if you do want to have kids but give up thinking the world is getting worse, that decision is part of the world getting worse. If you do want kids, there’s all sorts of opportunity to make this a better world for both yourself and them, and longer, and plenty of opportunity to make an actual difference
Just passing along the value of the bidet may be worth it, according to the comic
Have you tried not having a pre-existing condition?
To disable, I’d have to login.
I usually don’t like unsubscribing because it results in more spam. Even legitimate sites seem to sell your “verified email address”. Nowadays everything has a unique generated email so I can turn it off at will, but that was long before I started doing that
So, laziness, inertia, excuses
Do you have a recipe? While I’m a fan of great slaw, I’ve never been able to make it myself. The recipes I’ve tried are bland mayo mush not worth eating
It’s not a Rueben but it does make an excellent sandwich!
Oh shit, how have I not tried that? And I have plenty of slow-smoked pulled pork left over from this weekend!
I only had pickles on pulled pork sandwiches, pulled pork breakfast burritos, pulled pork mac&cheese ….
Police are just as lazy as anyone else. While there will be a few turncoats, I’d expect them to generally go along with “you can snub a fed and do nothing”
I’m sure they are in every state, and can do enough to make headlines, continue stoking outrage. However they don’t have the manpower to actually take it seriously, or to investigate beyond what big name they want to use for propaganda
I can sell you one with real floppy drives!
In my blue state, they’d have to use purely federal resources. Local law enforcement is not required to cooperate
A migrant worker is not undocumented. Many are here in a legitimate work visa and it’s heavily used in farming.
Undocumented aliens comprise several subgroups and I suppose you can say “I really meant ….”.
For example the most common illegal is a formerly legal visiting student or worker who overstays their visa. And as you said, this is an area subject to human rights violation and discrimination: an employer can treat someone as poorly as they want, when someone is subject to deportation if they lose their job
If you want the scary answer, read about climate tipping points. I don’t think we’ve really established where they might be triggered but we more likely hit them the more over we get. These are hypothesized catastrophic and irreversible changes
Financial aid debt is way too high but there is a bit of a turnaround in places. Or there was. It may not last past Jan 20
There were millions with student loan debt forgiven or partly forgiven, and several states made public universities partly free.
In our case my ex still has student loan debt. She’s a teacher which ought to get it forgiven, but she consolidated so is no longer qualified. However several of her peers benefitted
My older kid goes to a public university and his first year was free, based on his mom’s income.
Meanwhile to me this is another piece of exasperating spam. My Steam account hasn’t been active in close to a decade but they never stop
I have one of those for camping but never actually got to trynit
That’s great. We weren’t near civilization so on a bike somewhere in the neighborhood or somewhere back in the woods.
My parents put a huge bell on the side of the house and basically said be home for dinner, make sure you hear the bell.
It most definitely makes a difference. We have laws about that and expect our police to follow them
It’s really annoying, plus the algorithm seems really locked down. Between cutting the screen space in half for podcasts and audiobooks, and the narrower algorithm, I never see anything new to listen to anymore until I take extra steps to search for it.
