I think donvict should be asked every time he’s in public about how those dogs were eaten. Also, I think people should ask him about the evidence that was found on Obama and his birth…
The other wild claims escape me right now…I wish someone would fund this. Instead of getting “bababooey” on the air, there should be a group of people striving to get these questions to donvict on the air as much as possible.
Also, I think people should ask him about the evidence that was found on Obama and his birth…
He’ll probably endorse Elon Musky for president in 2028 very well knowing that he is not a natural born American. As long as it fits the agenda, Trump will bend whatever rule he needs to.
I got a friend in the Bureau of Workers Compensation in Ohio, and this might be anecdotal, but they’ve mentioned several times how businesses in Springfield that couldn’t find good work absolutely welcomed and embraced the Haitian population and how it has turned around several smaller businesses that he works with.
One business owner specifically talked about how he couldn’t keep anyone, and how he had to fire a few people that would come in fucked up on pain killers or drunk because it became too much of a problem and fucked with his insurance rates after a particular incident. My BWC friend mentioned how the Haitian population came in to the area and hiring some of them might work out well, so he did it. He says it’s been fantastic. They didn’t have any of that baggage, worked hard and showed up on time every day. He has to have an interpreter but he said it was absolutely worth it just to not have to deal with the turnover and no-shows.
In some ways migrant successes and not failures are bigger fuel for nativist paranoia. Decline of living standards for locals, malaise, substance abuse, opiod crisis etc. are all policy failures, and nativists are terrified that instead of fixing those issues so they can live well in their own nation, the government is happy to let foreigners with more drive and less baggage move in - after all, deindustrialized Ohio is infinitely better than Haiti currently is.
Of course the racial superiority and bigotry play a huge role (in my view the primary role) and economic precarity is a very poor excuse for the insane racism they’ve subjected these migrants to. They aren’t responsible for the policies.
Off topic, maybe don’t call him your BWC friend
Or, do, if the label fits. No sense denying a man his pride.
I read it as shorthand for “Bureau of Workers Compensation friend” that he mentioned earlier in the post.
They’re certainly in for a bad time I’d say.
“It would be a mistake,” Lindsay Aime, a Haitian immigrant who has temporary protected status until 2026, said of the deportation plan. “All the businesses across Springfield, if you lose good, beautiful workers, you will feel it economically.”
I am surprised more non-citizens (and even the naturalized citizens) aren’t leaving that town and state right away. I understand it’s hard to uproot your family and just move to a different state. But they are going to be forced out in a few months regardless, and if Trump does it they will get put in detention until they get flown back, no questions asked. And we all know Trump is starting there. At least if these people go move to a Blue state the local police won’t help the Feds find them.
And people shouldn’t think they are safe just because they have permanent residence, or even are citizens. I expect whoever Trump recruits to round up these people to not ask those types of questions. They will detain anyone who looks like they don’t belong, confiscate their ID, then conveniently lose it, leaving them with no proof. Do you think AG Gaetz will care about that?
I don’t think red state or blue state makes a difference when it comes to local police helping them…
It most definitely makes a difference. We have laws about that and expect our police to follow them
I think it will, because local police dont really want to be involved in this stuff, it’s not their job. Blue states will be very likely to tell the Feds “We can’t stop you, but we won’t help you either”.
And if he needs an actual example of this… remember when Trump said that Oregon was one big riot and police were getting killed.
When the Feds rolled in, the local police very much stated that they weren’t involved in this and weren’t going to attack peaceful protesters. So when the investigation started, the illegal detainments were all on the feds.
how do you move right away? where do they go? how do they pay for the astronomically high rent + deposit? how do secure a job first? homelessness is illegal so where do you sleep during the transitional move? how does a blue state help when the gentrified state does not support all citizens?
also, US citizens have been getting pulled over if their skin is the right tan to look like they are from south of the border been a huge issue for a while now and been a scary thing before this election
I understand all this stuff. This shit is hard. But all that is preferable to just being plucked off the street and effectively disappeared. As bad as it was for non-whites here before, it’s about to get much worse.
And the Blue State thing matters because I believe that Trump will not get Congress to go along with a militarization of this deportation effort, and the existing Federal infrastructure is not enough to pull it off. So he will have to heavily lean on red states who will be happy to send State Police to violate these people’s rights as long as the Feds look the other way. Moving to a state that will not go along with that will go a long way toward keeping them safe
lived in both blue and red states with not much difference
for example, Colorado has swerved right making homelessness illegal and restricting the cannabis market and setting pay below living wages just like red states only the blue states have different wording and policies to achieve the same thing such as overfunding the police
blue and red being different is just a fantasy made up by the donors to get voters into football politics my team is better kind of thing
keeps people divisive and unable to truly realize and solve the problem which keeps the donors rich
Colorado has swerved right
You must be living in a completely different state than I am.
It’s always had a “libertarian” streak when it comes to business deregulation, but otherwise yeah pretty blue.
Given that over 60% of voters in the county voted for Trump, they can’t be all that concerned.
And if you voted for Trump and are suddenly concerned, you did this to yourself.

Right. 65% of voters. With a turnout far higher than the national average.
And they basically voted 2:1 in favor of Trump.
