Vice President Kamala Harris told NBC News that her team is preparing for the possibility that Trump will declare himself the winner, even if the results are not yet settled.
Vice President Kamala Harris, her campaign team and some of Donald Trump’s own allies say they expect the former president to quickly declare victory on election night — even if the outcome is not yet settled in key swing states.
Between the time it takes to process mail ballots and deal with provisional ballots in some battleground states, votes will not be fully tabulated on election night. Projections of who won a close presidential race might not come for days, similar to the 2020 election.
NBC News spoke to four Trump allies, all of whom speculated that the former president may be prepared to pull a repeat of 2020 and quickly declare he is the victor on election night when that is not yet certain. The sources all noted they did not have direct knowledge that this was a formal Trump campaign plan.
So he will probably do the thing he did last time again this time.
Yup, that checks out.
Yeah none of this is new. It’s the same playbook. It didn’t work last time but he’s gonna keep trying.
same playbook, but there’s more pages and more players this go around. they know what didn’t work the first time. i don’t think even he is stupid enough to try (only) the same things again.
Hopefully he loses by a wide enough margin that the results can’t be contested.
All results can be contested. A larger margin will help with making it harder to successfully contest, although the plan seems to be breaking the system so the margins don’t matter.
They will just use a large margin not matching polls as “proof” of election fraud
He won’t.
Hopefully we’re also more prepared this time. Plus the other side is currently in power, at least the executive branch.
We aren’t.
Who is President of the United States? What month and day of the week is it? Do you smell burning toast?
We’ll see in t-minus 2 weeks which one of us is right.
Let’s make certain it doesn’t work this time, either. I’m pretty eager to see how all these court cases play out.
Premature Exclamation of victory… Yup, that tracks
Premature electulation
sigh
. . . I’ll allow it.
So, just like last time…
But also just like last time… early votes and mail in votes don’t even start being counted until after the polls close.
So he will declare early victory, like last time, then be over-ridden by counting as the early votes get tabulated, like last time, and try to say that’s evidence of fraud, also like last time.
I heard an interesting piece on the radio yesterday talking about Wisconsin.
The votes in Wisconsin are counted by MUNICIPALITY, not by voting district, or even by county.
They have some 1,800 tabulation centers and the results aren’t announced until all 1,800 are in.

I ALSO expect and predict he will prematurely declare a win.
Because (checks) yep, I have at least the brains god gave a squirrel so I can figure this one out.
The $upreme Court: “Yup”
