I STILL didn’t know Wonka was a musical until just now…
The first is well known for its songs, the musical oompa loompas were pretty iconic.
But I think Wonka might have devoted twice as much time to musical numbers.
I remember Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd was marketed as a straight up film. No mention of it being a musical at all.
In hindsight it was a popular musical stage show but I had no idea at the time.
Cause people don’t want to watch Musicals
