They are a millionaire though. It’s just that that means nothing anymore.

A million bucks is a million away from zero, but it’s 999 million away from a billion.

He was a rich dude in the 16 to 1700s, his wealth could only come from the suffering of others.

Nobody gains massive wealth without the suffering and exploitation of others, not the 1700s, not in 800BC and not today.

Imagine being the person to contaminate a sample that cost 150 MILLION dollars to get. The jokes would haunt your great grandchildren.

There was a LOT of hype that they never achieved too, and tons of content shown off in trailers and previews that never made the game.

The train was very much a playable area in previews, not in the game, taxis were shown, but also not in the game. The population density is much lower, and (of course) emergent npc behaviour (a random NPC actually going to a bar to play pool, or basketball, instead of just standing there. Robberies just occurring) isn’t nearly as amazing as promised. There were supposed to be more classes that never appeared, and the life path system was shown to be much bigger than just the three skill check options in dialogue that made it into the game.

Mostly, I believe that’s just players being super upset and hunting down every “broken promise” because the game was a buggy mess instead of the second coming.

Top bad the often proposed suggestion of “let’s just skip right to the end” isn’t actually a solution.

I hate spell components if they’re not part of the plot, so we don’t use them in the game. If a spell lists no value, just assume you pull a pinch of something out of somewhere, and if you’re stripped, you no longer have it. If a spell lists a value that’s less than half a percent of your wealth, I see above.

The only time I care is when it’s something super specific or expensive. Like “a hair from the target” or “1000gp worth of [thing]”.

Person A wants to kill 1 million people.

Person B wants to kill 50 million people.

But yeah no, this will definitely improve things.

I’m a HUGE cyberpunk fan, so I made the mistake of buying it at release. Some of my most impressive issues:

• Trees would draw “on top” or in front of everything else, even when blocked by other objects. So in greener areas, my entire screen was filled with trees.
• The scripted driving sequences would get me stuck in “driving mode” about half the time after the scripted sequence is over. So I’d be walking around like a car, not able to strafe or jump.

So, I refunded it, outside of the refund period, but they were nice to me.

When the expansion released, and everything seemed a LOT better, I bought the game again, and I loved it! It’s a pretty OK game, with a great story and absolutely amazing sidequests.

You can move to most European countries and learn the language from the welcoming people there that can switch to English or use a translator if necessary.

Not in the Netherlands. Nobody will speak dutch to you, and will switch to English immediately if they detect an accent.

I mean, it was not-terrible for most of it (not counting the quality of dialogue), just not this exact scene, which was absolutely fucking terrible, and barely even involved the character in question. I really can’t imagine how they thought “Other people should talk about their gender!” was a good idea.

And of course, he’s a big fun of Putin.

It’s hard to fall out of the window in space, on account of not being able to fall and not having windows. But Boeing’s got rocket scientists working on the problem!
