I’ll take a ring over the smart watch any day. Battery life alone, makes this easier. Drives me nuts to see my coworkers, friends, dates, just looking at their watch as we chat away or work, then complain about so many alerts.
So no, smart rings are not stupid
I had a bike. I can assure you, I went MILES away. At 10, I was probably riding 1-5 miles to friends houses or to neighborhoods for selling whatever nonsense my scouts program was selling.

Before eSIM, tmobile global data and text in 150 countries was the dream for my 5x trips a year. Now I just pop into the Eu and pick up a prepaid month European esim and spend €20+€15 additional month vs the $200 a year I was spending. Italy even has a deal in the summer now for €15 for 30 days.
The Martian by Andy weir was my first experience of this. They re-recorded it with will wheaton and I “lost” my original with RC Bray. Though I will admit my version was part of the plus catalog, I still didn’t get a choice.
This card is unnecessary in most cases even you are white. It’s like when you order alcohol at a restaurant. They don’t usually ask for ID if you look old enough. You only need this card when you’re near other white people who are richer than you.
