As others have said, this is a side discussion inspired by the headline but not really related to the article.

That said, there is no proto-chicken that laid a chicken egg or a chicken hatching out of a proto-chicken egg. There was no “first chicken.” Populations evolve, not individuals. Let’s not confuse a de novo mutation with evolution. Evolution is a change in allele frequencies over time, and speciation is reproductive isolation of populations experiencing allele frequency shifts.

There are still population-wide polymorphisms in humans that are present in gorillas but have been fixed in chimpanzees. Populations of proto-chickens gradually evolved into chickens, but if there were a hard line to define the distinction (like the wavelength where orange ends), then there would have been a long time of proto-chickens and chickens interbreeding and their descendents oscillating back and forth between the two definitions over generations.

What a ridiculous claim by yet another dumb shit who draws equivalence between someone who acts too slowly to punish criminals and the criminals themselves.

No thanks to hauling Supreme Court justices before a military tribunal because you don’t like the way they ruled. I wish we had expedited the cases against Trump, but I don’t want a bunch of leftists suspending democratic principles just long enough to make sure their political opponents are weakened. Why is Biden’s DoJ doing Trump’s job for him? Let Trump’s people be the ones to dismiss the investigations because of political bias.

The Democratic party could not even prosecute a guy who tried to murder Congress. So the thinking goes - Why the fuck would someone vote for them when they do fuck all?

The point of this article is that Trump was elected by those who did very little thinking at all.

I had the opposite experience. I got fat while eating nothing but stone soup! We just put in some onions and celery for flavor, and potatoes for bulk. Add some bacon and a ham hock, and melt in cream cheese to thicken it.
