Summary

Rudy Giuliani, once celebrated as “America’s Mayor,” is battling severe financial and legal troubles, including a $150 million defamation judgment from election workers Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman, $1.4 million in unpaid legal fees, and asset seizures.

Giuliani has surrendered luxury items like watches and a Mercedes but is now fighting to keep his Manhattan penthouse’s refrigerator, citing basic living needs.

Representing himself in court signals his dire financial state.

Giuliani also faces multiple lawsuits stemming from his promotion of election fraud claims and mounting unpaid debts to former lawyers.

As Trump ascends to the white house, his ever loyal lawyer and once hailed “Hero of New York” struggles to retain his basic possessions.

Which I find fucking hilarious, but should be a warning to the current MAGA faithful. lol

Is it me, or is Giuliani one of the only Trumpers getting his just desserts? That pillow guy being the other. It makes me wonder what they’ve done that we don’t know about that made them such a spectacle for the rest of them.

Never attribute to malice, that which can more easily be explained by narcissism.

I suspect that he didn’t want to help Trump in 2020 but Putin has compromat (think about his scene in Borat 2), so he went along with it but self-sabotoged (like doing that press release in front of a landscaping company and being completely unprepared for that court appearance). Putin saw through it and pulled any support he would have otherwise gotten from others that are compromised (or even turned them against him), after which cases against him were able to proceed.

Or it was actual incompetence and Putin no longer wanted to waste energy protecting him.

Or they figured someone had to take a fall after that and let it be Rudy.

I suspect its more that they just arent as “important”, in terms of extreme wealth or active political power, as some of the other guys. Its not like Trump, who both was running for office, had judges in some of his cases that he put there, and who now has an electoral victory, and its not like the ones in congress, who are, well, in congress and therefore have other congresspeople to protect them or at least want them to stay if theyre on the same side. A lawyer and a guy who is rich, but not like Jeff Bezos rich, just dont have as much protecting them, which both means they cant get away with stuff other guys can, and if one is more cynical, represent people who cant fight back as much if thrown under the bus.

Asshole probably has one of those $18,000 Z-Line refrigerators but only uses it to keep a lemon cool or something. Take it!

Someday the tea will spill about why Trump was able to wrangle this man into his conspiracy.

The one thing I will relish is learning how stupid those reasons are…

Probably not. But I mean he was successful, as far as I remember not in financial duress. Could’ve just retired. Guess it’s my pleb status thinking he took it for granted haha.

To be fair: there are home fridges that sell for over $20k, and that wouldn’t be out of place in a $6.5m condo.

If there’s a merciful God, this man will live to 120 with full cognitive faculties, still facing litigation and never getting a single day where someone recognizes him for anything other than the shitty mayor who ruined his farce of a good name. On that day, may he pass away scared and alone and finally acknowledging how undeserving he is of any dignity in death.

I think there is a world where he falls so far down to the rockiest of rock bottoms that he realizes the errors of his way. Then as a reformed asshat does his part to undo some of the damages he has done. I could picture a Rudy who says “trust me, I was 100% on on these ideologies and I can tell you why they were wrong”. I like to believe everyone is capable of change and capable of doing good. I hope he comes out of this a better person but I won’t hold my breath

He’s probably waiting all day long for a call from Trump, saying “Hey Rudy, you lost everything by lying for me, now I got your back, bro!”

    But the call never comes…
