Summary

Richard Shashaty, 37, has been charged with arson after allegedly igniting a 350-acre wildfire in New Jersey by firing a prohibited “Dragon’s Breath” incendiary shotgun round at a rifle range.

The fire, named the “Shotgun Fire,” started on November 6 near Jackson Township and is one of multiple wildfires sparked by unusually dry, windy conditions in the state.

New Jersey firefighters have battled 400 wildfires in October and around 40 just this past weekend. Smoke from these fires has affected air quality as far as New York City.

What a sense of fucking entitlement. You absolutely have to shoot your incendiary device right now during a drought because AIN’T NO DROUGHT GONNA TELL ME WHAT I CAN SHOOT OUTTA MY SHOTGUN!

Even if the fire doesn’t kill anyone directly, the reduction in air quality will probably kill some people indirectly.

Can’t even fucking use a Chiminea in my town, less the authorities come. And this dude is blasting incendiary rounds down range (probably in front of a few of duty authorities)
