That’s not the only alternative. There is overlap in the spheres of voters of the green party and democratic party. IF the DNC actually wanted those votes it would court those votes. The issue is the spoiler effect which is a result of the overlap.

That’s not the only alternative. There is overlap in the spheres of voters of the green party and democratic party.
