Summary

Senate Democrats are rushing to confirm President Biden’s judicial nominees before Republicans take control in January.

Republicans are frustrated, accusing Democrats of pushing through liberal judges. However, critics point out GOP hypocrisy, as they did the same in 2020 to confirm Trump’s judges.

Democrats have confirmed 217 judges so far and aim to confirm 26 more, potentially surpassing Trump’s first-term total and cementing Biden’s judicial impact.

Schumer has vowed to keep the Senate in session as long as needed to finish the confirmations.

None of this means anything. This country doesn’t mean anything. Nothing stands for anything. It’s all just a back and forth. Good will not prevail. It’s just cocksuckers getting gheir way, and making others suck their cock on the way down. That’s all this is. Human suffering doesn’t matter. Peoples lives don’t matter. It’s all just a dick measuring contest to these people. A little over a million people died during covid. Trump didn’t care. Then Biden took over and provided vaccines. But nobody cared. They were just told by their government for 8 months it was all a hoax. And then Biden has to deal with gaza, he doesn’t care. He could have sent Ukraine permission to use weapons deep in russia for 2 years. He didn’t care. These judges won’t care. Being human doesn’t matter. Nobody has any rights. Consume commercial goods. Amazon has you by the balls.

goes to sit in a dark corner

You realize apathy, despair, and doomerism is exactly how they want you to feel, right? They want us to feel scared and hopeless, so we don’t organize. So we don’t fight back.

People have been organizing and pushing change without depending on elected officials for generations. The Civil rights movement. The labor movement during the great depression. etc.

Don’t let fear paralyze you, comrade. Be scared, yes. But let that arose compassion for yourself and your comrades. And we’ll get through this without depending on the Ds or Rs to throw us a bone, just like we always have.

      By demanding they listen.

This is the message I keep trying to give myself and others. Our goals and priorities haven’t changed since losing an election. The fight may be tougher than if people more aligned with us may have won, but it was still going to be a fight either way. We aren’t starting from nothing, we’re still at the same point we were the day before the election. It’s our job to hold our ground that we’ve won until now, and to push forward into new territory where possible in the future.

I still need to protect the people and causes I care about. That is the motivation for change I have, and no matter who is in charge and how much they dislike it will change that. It’s up to me to give up or not.
