Sounds like physics in a way, a chaotic and random energy and focusing itself into positive work, creating something with order.

Speaking of Ridley Scott.
But then in an astute creative move, the sequel was put in the hands of one of the truly best directors working today, in fact it could be said that Dennis Villeneuve is the Ridley Scott of his day. Like Michael Mann has been the John Ford of his day.
Although Villeneuve so far has been a guarantee of quality both in content and presentation, while Scott’s erratic career is sprinkled with quite a few mediocre efforts and misfires, like he gets easily distracted, and you can even get a whiff of that in the way he fidgets unnecessarily with his older movies (speaking of Blade Runner) like Lucas did with the Star Wars original trilogy.
He disapproves of you because you’re not letting him IN.
Scooping up a root folder alias without noticing and dumping it in the trash icon.
Naturally, both of these dingbats forgot to bring the Visine along.
Angst, weltschmerz, fin de siècle ennui… call it what you will… your cat is in a rut, and urgently needs to be confused.

Your elders are just as stupid, myopic and petty as you fear they might be. But then again, so are your peers.

That stork is clearly trying to choke that wolf, from the inside!
This is what happens when you overthink the simple act of voting, when you navel gaze for days and months any simple physical effort that requires your presence with intent. You distort what it is and how it works.
A vote nudges things towards a direction, it is NOT a magic political wand that fixes things overnight. Inertia builds up only with several election cycles of consistency.
One side is cruel and will constantly sabotage good faith whether in or out of majority power. “Good faith is for suckers” is their goddamned motto, just one in a ton of toxic ideas and knee-jerk anger and greedy gluttony. Television and internet has amplified these virulent tendencies.
Whoever decided to not vote is in a muddy mental hole and has participated through inaction in making things much worse and perilous for millions of vulnerable living beings.
I have lost my faith in the younger generations, they cannot cut through the bullshit, are actively being bombarded in bad faith messaging, and it fucking worked.
Good luck in weeding out fascists and bigots from your society now. Especially in the judicial branch, you get to keep those for life. You have stabbed yourself in the chest with a rusty knife and call it “purity”, you imbeciles.
They should do a faithful-to-the-book adaptation of Moonraker!
Straight out of the mid-50s, an ICBM pointing at London and in a countdown. A race against time! (and Hugo Drax)

Let’s have a look at today’s Countdown Conundrum!
For a second or three there, I read that as:

a priest told me about Mars
Rude people have always been around the moviegoing “experience”.
Then cellphones and social media popped up, making things geometrically worse.
Then in order to not inconvenience the mindless assholes inside their theaters, they managed to run the real movie lovers out of their establishments.
Then somehow, incredibly, the pandemic made things even worse! Like something about being alone with their hollow lives for a year or two, broke something in the hollow psyche of those already mindless, rude hordes.
There was one time in 2007 that blew my mind in a movie theater, they were screening a limited engagement of No Country For Old Men before general release, so everyone who was there, was there for the love of cinema.
There is no music soundtrack in that movie, it has long stretches of silence, and in each of those scenes, in this packed large old movie house, I swear you could hear a pin drop.
My god… what an exceptional movie experience that night was, I’d never experienced anything quite like it, before or since.
