  • It doesn’t help that the US spends an ‘OBSCENE’ amount of money on their military for their own internal workings.

It’s hard for any NATO member to justify more spending of their GDP.

When everyone decides to build 2/tanks per cycle… and yet one entity is just pissing out 20/tanks per cycle,

There’s so much oversupply in general, why would anyone else increase their output to 3/tanks?

stretch that out over 50 years, and that’s where we are today.

  • I don’t understand the issue.

He was a senator so they investigated him.

Now GOP is saying he resigned that seat, so they can’t release the investigation (they shouldn’t be used investigate basic citizens is their arguement)

So… when he’s up for AG, they do a background check right? Release it then as soon as his hearing starts. He’s not a basic citizen then, he’s being checked out for the job.

Release it as soon as he attempts to take any governmental position.

  • It’s not all hype.

nVidia has some SERIOUS R&D in the use of AI for the past 10 years.

But using AI in the graphic space… upscaling, downscaling, faking lighting, faking physics… This is all very useful in making videogames.

Then there was a leap in the way AI Image generation was done with the above hardware. And that opened up a whole new growing field.

It’s just some people took basic language models that have been around for 30 years and scaled them up with their hardware. And it was neat, and surprising some of the stuff a LLM would output. But not reliable.

And then suddenly a lot of layman’s got their hand on the LLM’s and thought it was the 2nd coming of Jesus, and started throwing big money at it… it will be surprise to no one who knows how these AI’s work that that big money isn’t going anywhere.

But those first two, is no hype. It’s a real viable use case for the AI, and money will be made there.

  • No one is making a compelling argument by burning anything.

The only purpose of the burning is to incite negative reaction.

No different than those moron’s that throw shit on art. Their message is lost in the noise of being an asshole.

If dude was burning a Quran in their own back yard because they needed a fire starter for their campfire, no one would give a shit.

It’s not the burning that’s the crime, it’s the being an asshole in public and trying to incite violence.

I’m not sure why American’s can’t differentiate freedom of speech/expression without the need to be an asshole about it.

  • The only people who had those pagers were Hezbollah members.

Did they have camera’s in them to know that? and also know about people in the surrounding area?

Hezbollah has been lobbing missiles into Israel, killing civilians including children and forcing an evacuation.

And you think this is the appropriate response to that?

I get the Israeli people are absolutely tired of this shit. But what makes them think that kind of response isn’t going to do anything other than bolster the other sides hatred/resolve?

As they indiscriminately kill more, they are recruiting more to the cause. When someone loses their kids/brother/father/home/etc. That just makes them having nothing more to lose, and join the war. People don’t want to fight. People just want to live their lives.

Israel is the one with all the weapons/tech/money in this. If the Israeli people are tired of this shit, they need to look at a leader who’s not going to perform actions that just increases Hezbollah’s and Hamas’s numbers.
