It’s actually a portal to Hell.
I’m not sure, but you should be careful while handling this stuff. It seems like it’s hazardous - the dust it produces in particular. You’re not supposed to handle it without gloves. I also can’t find any info about drying it out safely if the dust it produces isn’t supposed to be breathed in.
Maybe you’ve done this research already, and I’m overthinking this, but whatever you wind up doing, just be safe.

I used to use those mesh strainers for hops when I was still brewing beer. I would use them for desiccant drying too, but I don’t think my oven maintains low temperatures well enough to not melt the beads.
I got a food dehydrator instead which I think would work with your 3D printed desiccant holders if you make them out of the right materials.

I might agree that the Democrats need to strip down messaging to better concentrate on winning back working class voters, but arguing that progressives are the reason the party sucks is looney. Progressives are the main group screaming about wealth inequality!
Kamala failed to convince voters that the Democrats would address the issues affecting their wallets. She mentioned some policies that I think would help, but she also said that she wouldn’t do anything different from Biden. I think that was a major disqualifier for her among voters. Biden isn’t responsible for the economic effects from the pandemic, but he was still in charge, so some people are going to blame him. Saying you’re not going to do anything different doesn’t inspire confidence.
I know that things won’t get better for the average person under Trump, but Kamala and the rest of the Democrats need a major fucking wake up call. If they want to win again, they’ll stop cozying up to billionaires and start fighting hard for the working class.
Anything that doesn’t focus on the class war is ultimately a distraction. Start winning the class war, and then the party will get strong enough to do something for everyone - including special interests.
I can’t stand to use a touch screen for anything 3D, however I can tolerate 2D gaming that way with an on-screen controller overlay. I almost never use my phones for gaming though.
All of Lemmy is a Linux help community. Okay, not c/linuxsucks, but everything else.
Voyager has this too, and I’ve put it to great use recently.

Your existence might be a blessing, but I live in constant pain with genetic diseases that I couldn’t prevent and can do very little about. The cost of healthcare has nearly bankrupted me multiple times, and Trump being elected again is most definitely not going to improve any of this for me.
Is it really so hard to believe that’s exactly how millions upon millions of people go about living their lives?
Yes, that does seem completely insane to people like you and me who don’t tolerate that level of willful ignorance in ourselves, but to someone else that’s all just noise that they tune out.
Ever heard the phrase, “Hell is other people“? I’m slowly starting to believe this existence is a punishment.
It’s looking increasingly likely that the US Department of Justice is going to succeed in their antitrust efforts against Google. Currently, Mozilla gets something like 85% of their funding from Google for being the default search engine in Firefox. That may be deemed anticompetitive behavior by a judge, at which point Mozilla will be left with very little funding compared to their current situation.
I’d bet these actions are in anticipation of that happening.
That’s just standard in Russia
I don’t get the downvotes. Is Green Day that unpopular?
Lemmy declared it don’t care no more?
Yep. I went though the process a second time which was far faster but required me to hold down the power button to get it to boot afterward. No other problems with it after that though.
Oooh! Better than usual!
Sounds more like a cure to me
It’s almost as though Apple’s main focus is selling devices instead of harvesting user data for ads. iOS has so many anti-tracking and privacy features built into it that I feel exhausted thinking about all the mods I need to make to factory software on an Android phone to bring it up to the same level.
Certainly iOS has its flaws, and I miss easier ad blocking, but overall I’m more satisfied with the experience.
OP, I mostly agree with what you’re saying about Android. I’ve been a user since 2010, and development of mainline Android stagnated about a decade ago. Google isn’t really trying very hard anymore. I got an iPhone this round as my main device. I still have plenty of other Android devices as well as my last phone (OnePlus 8T) that I will continue to use, but I’m enjoying most of the change in user experience to iOS. It’s smoother and better thought out in most respects.
If your device is really that slow though, are you sure the battery is good? They will definitely slow down when the battery ages to prevent sudden shutdowns if the CPU were to try to use more power than the battery can supply. I think that a bad battery can do the same even if it’s not old.
If not that, how is the custom ROM scene for your phone? That may be a solution if it’s possible. Manufactures like Samsung sometimes go overboard with additions to the OS that just screw things up. Samsung was probably the worst offender in this regard back when the first Galaxy devices launched.
