Fair point. I don’t think I thought of this lol.
You read the name. You know what I am.

Why can’t we just get a Lego Movie, made by Element Animation?!
I heard the same for Android and I was pretty supportive of the sentiment until I listened to the Android Faithful podcast episode discussing it…
If Google doesn’t develop Android, nobody will. Whoever buys Android, we don’t know if they will maintain the AOSP. Android has been an equal parts rollercoaster of good and bad ideas thanks to Google, but it has had someone do that…
Maybe LineageOS could take over, but that’s just insane wishful thinking.
All that enshittification is hard work.
This is sad. Please don’t make me cry.
LMAO the clarification
As someone who needs a photo viewer that has some basic editing tools, is digiKam a good tool? I’ve tried it in the past to mixed results… The UI and UX leaves a lot to be desired, but I do like the fact that it has local face recognition and other interesting features.
Any suggestions for how this could be a part of my use-case?
Someone’s been to the Attack on Titan School of Numbering.
I have two cats. Both sleep on sofas as well as the floor. Cats are the divine incarnate. They can do as they please.

Wow. Damn. This is interesting.
What did Lemmy do to you, OP?

- Google is preparing to have Android open Captive Portal pages in an Android Custom Tab instead of an Android WebView.
- A Captive Portal is a web page that many public Wi-Fi networks present before they allow your device to connect.
- By opening these web pages in Android Custom Tabs, they’ll have access to your autofill and session data, making it easier to sign in when needed.
Fair enough. But email is the most pervasive example we can use today tbh.
I’m in my mid-20s… I’m the last of the generation of people who know that there’s more than just Gmail and Outlook. The fact that Outlook is actually a client as well as a host is something people might not even know today.
I did this and he just said, “so it’s like email servers, but for more than emails?” I can’t believe this is the best way to put it.
I hate you so much 🤣😭
