Have you never read a single thing of print media ever? Books, newspapers, and magazines have been hyphenating words to keep uniform blocks of text for over 5 centuries
It’s just gonna be rich failsons who are loving off their trust funds. It’s gonna be bad
Meanwhile every Democrat who lost was running on a campaign of “Build The Wall, More police funding, Support Israel”
Unless that something is diverting all their funds into Texas.
My school experience was pretty much bookended by Columbine and Sandy Hook. We fogured shootings were something that could be solved, rather than the inevitable fact of life they are now.
Dude isn’t an actor. He was just an actual employee named Jake who did a commercial that got big.
I was watching a PBS documentary about the first humans in the Americas. All the scientists are super cool until you get to the American anthropologist who starts using phrenology to explain why Native American tribes shouldn’t be given repatriation rights, only for a Danish geneticist to say “yeah, this is absolutely a Native American and i am willing to testify to that in any court of law”
Pseudoscience is still all the rage if it can be used to push a political agenda.
Yes, we have one party here. But so does America. Except, with typical extravagance, they have two of them!
-Julius Nyerere, 1982
The US has always had two parties that only serve capital and it’s interests.
I’m happy to colonize the intestines of anyone who needs it. Just let me know
Even the rural college town my grandma grew up in had tram lines running down the main streets in the 30’s and to both colleges. If a city had more than 20,000 residents 100 years ago, they probably had a tram system that was pulled up at GM’s behest.
I’m saying that you can only piss on someone and call it rain for so long. Young voters onow that both parties are going to screw them over regardless, so they don’t want to vote. It’s turkeys voting on the side dishes at Thanksgiving.
Loan forgiveness isn’t a solution. It’s something the immediately help, but it does nothing ti address the growing costs of the higher education that is needed for any sort of comfortable life.
Issue 1 took up the entire back page of my ballot yesterday and was just nonsensical legalese. People voted on it based on how there prefered candidates told them to, and we all saw who their preferred candidates were last night.
It’s the ratchet effect. The GOP drives us further to the right while the DNC stop us from moving to the left.
People thought that the Tea Party would drive away support for the GOP, but they got everything they wanted by being loud and demanding it from the GOP. Conservative voters get everything they want from the Republicans because they demand it. Meanwhile Democrats are constantly trying to snub the Progressives and leftists from the party and then except those snubbed groups to keep voting for them.
Toyota and Honda have to meet similar regulations in markets that have those regulations but aren’t as insanely car focused as the US. They aren’t going to make a radically different Accord or Corolla for the US market just because they can. The leadership for US manufacturers are just lazy and have been for the past 50 years.
Damn, sounds like nationalizing an industry leads to lower costs and cheaper products.
Millennials were sold the same promises as Gen X, only it was quickly becoming apparent that those promises were straight up lies. The young millennials cam of age in the wake of the 2008 crash while the older ones lost everything in said crash. Zoomers are still being sold the American dream, only now it’s more of a hostage demand.
