So not only is Zeus a serial cheater but also a domestic abuser? Talk about positive male role models.
Greek/ancient gods were meant to be a relatable kind with faults and everything. They were not omnipotent or there such. This enables much more compelling stories to be told.
I mean, you’ve never pushed a goddess down the stairs? C’mon it’s entirely relatable!
It’s similar idea with the evil gods of ancient Mesopotamia. Unlike in most religions where evil deities tempt humans to commit evil acts, evil Mesopotamian deities represent the evils of humanity.
Edit: wording
Either OP is an Octavius viewer, or just coincidence that I’m seeing a Zeus/Hera meme the day after they posted a video featuring that story…
My friend, Zeus cheating on Hera has been a recognisable reference for 3000 years
I know, but if I had a nickel for every time I’d seen a Zeus and Hera reference in the past day, I’d have 2 nickels
Wait. How do you monetize watching memes?
Open your own piped instance (no tracking, ads, sponsors, etc.), make it 100% available with proxies (so YT can’t block your instance) and make users pay for using your instance (so also watching memes), financing the proxies and giving profit.
