Trump set the US evacuation in motion. In February 2020, his administration and the Taliban agreed that US forces would leave by 1 May the following year. After losing the 2020 election to Biden, Trump ordered the rapid withdrawal of all troops but was blocked by senior officials. Instead, the US began to swiftly reduce its presence.
Everytime I point this out to a MAGA it starts an instant argument. It’s like tossing gas on a fire.
The whole leave Afghanistan thing was Trumps idea but they all seem to forget that and want to pretend it was solely Biden’s fault for coming up with it. Putting the blame on the soldiers is some top tier shit stupidity as well.

The republicans are rightfully asking questions about why the proccess was such a clusterfuck. And the answers so far are anything but reassuring.

Sure here you go it was short sighted withdrawal started without enough timing or items in place to do so effectively and safely. As was warned when the call for withdrawal was requested to no end. No amount of money can fix completely shit expectations forcing impossible outcomes. But trying to pass off the blame of a execution on the guy trying to mop the blood off the floor is a bit off.
The nature of the withdrawal was chaotic because trump planed it and wanted to throw a stink bomb at Biden.
Biden could have modified said plan leaders take responsibility they dont blame others for failures that happened under their whatch.
