  • There is no “center of the universe” as far as we’re aware I’m pretty confident. We (each individual) is the center of their known/knowable universe, but that’s distinct from the actual universe. There’s stuff beyond that that we can and will never observe.

I guess you could define the center of the universe as the average point of all matter, but since we can’t observe much of the universe we can’t know where that is.

  • Your comment about wealth seems to be dismissive. Sure, many people have more and do worse. That’s not an argument saying he can’t do more. That’s only an argument that he could do less also. He can obviously do more. Saying one thing is worse than another thing doesn’t excuse either. Both can and should improve.

I don’t know about the laws surrounding him as monarch. Maybe you’re right that he can’t say anything. I don’t believe this is totally true because the monarchs platform people frequently. Maybe they aren’t supposed to, but they obviously can do more than just keep quite. He could invite this woman to a state dinner, for example, and give her more of a platform. There are many options available. He is not powerless to do anything.

  • Edit: Adding this to the top because people probably aren’t reading; I said this was bad.

Honestly, from what I’ve read in the article, if this was said by a reasonable person I’d agree with it. Optional retreats provided for free (paid for by taxes obviously) where people can go and disconnect from a potentially harmful environment? That could actually do wonders for many people, especially if therepy and counciling are provided, and ways to create plans to get away from that environment are created.

Obviously RFK Jr. is not a reasonable man though. I don’t think this will be the good possibility I’m thinking of.

  • You’re saying that like there’s one Bethesda game. I hate how banal Starfield is. I really don’t like how FO4 isn’t an RPG, though it’s a good platform for content. Skyrim is pretty good with boring quests, especially the main quest. Oblivion is fairly good, though it started the trend of dumbing things down. Morrowind is spectacular. It gives players tools to play with and freedom to figure them out. The writing is generally fantastic. The world feels like it was a world and not a theme park.

I love Bethesda games. I hate the direction they’ve been heading for a long time. I doubt that’s going to change, but it certainly won’t if people keep quite about it.
