Reporting Highlights

  • Earth Day Promise: In 2022, President Joe Biden announced a new effort to protect old forests, which are key to the fight against climate change. But it hasn’t made much of a difference.
  • Logging Continues: The Bureau of Land Management has allowed timber companies to cut these forests at a faster pace since Biden’s executive order than in the decade that preceded it.
  • Legal Battles: Conservation groups keep suing over what they claim are rushed timber sales, and they keep winning — but under a Trump administration, they may be unable to keep up.

For everyone wondering why Dem turnout was so low, it’s shit like this and him bragging about domestic fossil fuel use while ignoring he’s smashed fossil fuel production records that trump set.

Moderates only sounds like a good idea if you don’t pay attention to what they actually do.

And unfortunately for us, Dem voters are a hell of a lot more likely to pay attention than republicans.

So if we want to win, it’s not enough to be better than Republicans, we need to run candidates Dem voters actually agree with and want to vote for

I keep saying this but Neo-Liberals of the Democratic party control everything and cry blood murder if you mention…

Justice System reform Wealth redistribution Ending genicide in all its forms by whomever commits the crime against humanity. Universal Health care UBI Banning of all none essential fossil fuel Free public education at all levels Covering every Americans essential needs so they can focus on saving the earth.

But no we’re the ones being unreasonable.

Hey good news! Your preferred candidate will be assuming ultimate and unchallenged authority to sell off all the old-growth forests and pocket that money directly. Just like you like it. So good work.

Just cuz i criticize Biden doesn’t mean I voted for or like trump but sure make a giant assumption.

Are you the kind of person who when someone tells you you did something wrong your reaction is to be like “wow so you must hate every single piece of me huh”

Or the kind of person that when someone says they like vanilla you scream wow so you hate chocolate

Give it a rest mate. This is objectively by itself a bad thing to do. Just because someone else would be worse does not make it not bad. That’s absurd logic.

Also not what I said. This was the first election where I was able to vote that I did not cast my ballot for the presidency, but I voted down ticket on everything else, including the questions in my state. My votes were either for democrats or for people who ran independently and had truly progressive ideals.

And before you go off on your oh not voting is a vote for Trump tirade, i live in a heavily blue state where there was absolutely no danger of electoral votes going to trump. My states votes went to Harris. And since that’s how the presidency gets tallied, my votes for the more local politics seemed more pertinent and a better way of getting the future that I think the planet deserves

Lol you can’t read well can you

In a state that already gave it’s votes to democrats, and where i voted democrat and progressive down the ticket, how did it not help?

You need to go touch grass if you’re on here trying to interrogate people on their voting choices.

Maybe I’m just fed up with people shitting on Biden and Harris for the last three months because everything’s going to be so, so much worse now that they got what they wanted.

                Why, who’d you vote for?

You gonna be all like, “oh it wouldn’t have mattered”? Ok. Too disgusted by Israel to vote for the Democrats? Ok. Voting is a tool of oppression foisted on us by moneyed interests to create the illusion we can fix anything? Sure. Well. Enjoy!

Stop putting words in my mouth and stop with the useless witch hunt. I did vote and voted blue down the line. Was I happy voting for Harris? No, but I understood the importance of this election.

Yes, things are going to be “so much worse now”, but bitching at strangers on the internet helps no one. Go join an organization and voluteer some of that energy where it can actually make a difference.

I agree it’s not harmless and we should be critical of Biden but if you think this is some of the worst that could be done in terms of the climate I suggest you strap in.
