But in a shrinking movie industry, DIY microbudget filmmaking may increasingly be left to fill some of the void left by risk-averse, corporate-driven Hollywood.

“I hope people can stop shooting things to make them look like commercials and just get back to more of the nitty gritty and letting your imagination flow,” says Tews, who also co-wrote the movie with Cheslik. “I just hope we stop bowing down to Hollywood and thinking they’re the gold standard. Because they just aren’t.”

I turned it off fifteen minutes in and do not see the appeal at all. The two others in the room agreed with me.

Glad others like it though! It reminded me a little of The Gods Must Be Crazy.

Just watched it cause of this post. Kept me entertained and enjoyed the whole thing which is impressive considering it is basically a live action looney tunes wiley cyote man vs beavers black and white silent film. Recommend.

Gonna see if my kids like it, don’t see why they wouldn’t.

Really great movie, I’d really recommend it to anyone looking for something new. I’ve never seen anything like it. Even though I never played it, I kept thinking of the game “Don’t Starve” when I was watching.

I’ve shown it to friends a couple of times, everyone loved it. It’s creative and fun in a unique way, very much worth watching!
