The administration claimed that blocking arms transfers would embolden Hamas — ignoring Israel’s genocidal slaughter.

Nothing you’ve said here makes sense. Biden can’t start Trump’s term early. Just because you feel morally correct doesn’t mean rationality goes out the window. Baseless finger pointing about genocide is an extremely stupid move. Do better.

How are you still making this argument? I hope you’re a bot, because if that’s a human brain behind these words that’s depressing.

Voting-oriented do nothing liberals are just waiting with their thumbs up their asses for one more chance to vote for the “lesser evil” Democrats who are worse than the “greater evil” Republicans of 20 years ago.

I don’t want to hear any more complaints from liberals until they fucking get out in the streets and actually take meaningful political actions that matter. Voting is nothing now, don’t you see? If enough of you cowards joined the left in being anti-genocide, if enough of you joined protests and riots and strikes and actual direct action, if enough of you considered voting to be the bare minimum and not the entirety of your civic duty, then and only then would we actually see any improvement.

I’m sick of hearing about how people didn’t vote properly. get the fuck out there and take real action. If not now, when?

You’re the people standing idly by and enabling the greatest evils. You’re the ones future generations will be asking about when they say “why didn’t anyone do anything?”

Nobody is going to talk about a minority of leftists choosing not to vote pro-genocide. They’re all going to be talking about do nothing cowardly Democrats watching their country go to shit because voting is the only thing they consider political action.

Stop punching left. Join us on the left and punch back. You fucking idiots.

For some, that time is coming. Come nov 2026 midterms all class 2 senators are up for reelection (and then class 3 in 2028). While there are more Republicans up at that point than Democrats, the strategy will be the same, and many of those Republican seats seem pretty safe.

It’s a Left/Right and principles/realpolitik divide rather than one based on age.

Especially now that Joe Rogan and troglodytes like him are winning millions of young voters over to fascism with their false demagoguery and misinformation disguised as entertainment and “hearing out both sides”.

Just an observation, I hope Ukraine can make it through all this, but when this war started news was non stop how Russia was falling on their face and losing thousands of troops and equipment.

Now that trump won news is non stop Ukraine is losing ground and will fall without aid.

This is why Americans are so disillusioned with all this. The propaganda machine can’t stick to a narrative and makes people feel like everything is fake. The media in this country is so fucked and a big reason why people are so uninformed.

Okay real talk? The Russians were falling on their face. Unfortunately they have the manpower and material to learn on the job. And that’s exactly what they’ve been doing. The big Russian gains recently also came during the 9 month drought the GOP inflicted on Ukraine’s weapons shipments.

So now there’s a situation where Ukrainian recruitment is down, Ukrainian manpower on the front line is below optimal, the Russians have re-learned how to actually do an assault, and the Russians have recently resupplied and reinforced via North Korea.

      The situation did legitimately change.

Shocking absolutely nobody, there’s a deafening silence from the blue MAGA brigade that, pre-election, kept crying about how not supporting Israel 100% would sink the Democrats’ chances of winning 100% and that Trump would do oh so much worse. Democrats have already lost the election, and now they double down on a losing policy when they literally have nothing at stake.

The only difference between a Biden and a Trump administration for Palestine is the speed at which things occur. Biden is fundamentally onboard with the same genocidal policies as Trump is willing to support.

Yes, it does both in international and US domestic law

Multiple provisions in U.S. law restrict the sale or provision of weapons to other countries, including the federal Arms Export Control Act, the Foreign Assistance Act, and the Leahy Law. The open letter draws on evidence from Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and other watchdogs to argue that continuing to provide weapons to Israel blatantly violates these laws, in addition to international treaties.

US weapons are being used for war crimes tho? The US is providing military aid unconditionally, knowing full well they are being used to violate humanitarian international law. The State providing the unconditional means for another state to commit war crimes is just as culpable as the state committing the war crimes.

I’m not looking for a legal debate or sealioning or any other drawn out conversation about this topic.

Some things that are noteworthy are that the United States is violating its own laws as pointed out by Sanders, and the ICC just put out warrants for Netenyahu and Gallant, so whether or not we debate the particulars Biden is involved in those crimes

I’ll name the war crime, and you could too if you did a google search for it.

We’re bound by the geneva conventions, that we did sign, and the articles regarding complicity in genocide wre in the signed articles. So yes, it is US law.

"According to Article 1 of the Genocide Convention, the Contracting Parties, including the United States and Israel, must prevent and punish acts of genocide. Under Article III, those punishable acts include “Complicity in genocide,” such as by knowingly providing the deadly weapons used to carry it out. In 2007, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), in a case involving Bosnia and Serbia, established that the obligation to refrain from providing weapons or other assistance begins the moment a state becomes aware of the existence of a serious risk that genocide may be committed.

For the Biden administration, that moment came in January, when the ICJ found that there was a “plausible” risk of genocide being committed in Gaza against the Palestinian people by Israel."

Holy shit, a real answer and not just some snarky bullshit response!

Thanks for actually taking the time to engage. I’m not being disingenuous. OP just said their was a “pile of war crimes”.

So is “the pile of war crimes” are all regarding the sale of weapons?

Heyyyy there’s that bullshit I was talking about… Why don’t you keep busy by writing an essay about how Putin’s war is illegal but Biden’s genocide is A-OK because it’s just not from the champagne region of Russia.

                I’ll get the notification

Are you capable of saying “Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza”? If so, say it now.

The first thing Democrats do when making a firing line is form a circle, and that’s by design not incompetence.
